When Safety Is the Subject,
There's Only One Choice - The Red Cross!


 

Get the American Red Cross health and safety training you need to prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.


In order to assist our community in preventing, preparing for and responding to emergencies Southwest Washington  American Red Cross offers classes in Clark, Cowlitz, Pacific, Wahkiakum, Skamania, and Klickitat counties. They may be taken by individuals and/or scheduled at your place of employment. American Red Cross courses are recognized training for compliance to certain OSHA and WISHA guidelines.


Courses offered include:

• First Aid • CPR • AED • HIV
• Bloodborne Pathogens
• Professional Rescuer/Healthcare Provider 
• Epinephrine Module • Asthma Modules
• Water Safety • Babysitter’s Training
• Safe On My Own • Basic Aid Training
• Pet CPR

 

In order to meet the health and safety education needs of communites through Southwest Washington, the American Red Cross has three different programs for classes.

  • Community classes are complete, flexible programs that help you, your family and your community stay prepared for virtually any life-threatening situation, held at either chapter offices or community partner locations.

  • Workplace training offers complete Red Cross training held at your place of business, helping your company stay prepared for virtually any life-threatening situation.

  • Youth classes such as babysitter training, first aid, CPR, aquatics and water safety classes, assure that young people are being educated about leading healthier, safer lives as well as being trained to serve as instructors, lifeguards and peer educators. These classes are held at either Red Cross offices or community partner locations.

  • NEW:  Online training is available for people who would like to take a class in the convenience of their own home and at their own pace using a computer and the internet.  Once the class has been completed online, you will schedule a short hands on skills session with an authorized American Red Cross instructor at either our office in Vancouver or Longview, WA in order to receive your certification.
