Southwest Washington Real Heroes Breakfast
Do you know a Real Hero?
History
An annual community celebration, the Real Heroes event is the signature fundraising event for the American Red Cross. The Real Heroes event grew out of the desire to develop an event that is closely related to the Red Cross Mission -- Saving lives through prevention, preparedness and response. It recognizes the heroic deeds of everyday people.
Criteria
Nominations are accepted for recognition of individuals who have performed a single act of heroism this past year. Nominees for the award must live or work in Clark, Cowlitz, Pacific, Wahkiakum, Skamania or Klickitat County or the heroic event must have taken place in one of those counties between January 1, 2009 and November 26, 2009. Please review the categories below to find the Real Heroes Award Category that best fits your personal hero.
The Red Cross will present awards at the Real Heroes Breakfast March 12, 2010, 7 a.m., at the Vancouver Hilton Hotel. A panel will review the nominations and select Heroes for each category. All selected Heroes will be invited to attend a “Meet the Heroes” reception prior to the Heroes Event.
